Course Fee and Payment Policies
Economic Tools for Conservation in Africa, 2026
The couse fee covers the following:
13 nights shared lodging in residential housing on the Southern African Wildlife College campus
Optional ground transportation on July 19 and August 1 between Johannesburg and the SAWC campus
Meals (3 meals/day and coffee breaks during the course)
All instruction by economic experts and CSF course facilitators
All course materials and supplies
Optional game drive excursion in Kruger National Park
6 months of access to all virtual course materials CSF’s Numbers for Nature Training Institute platform, with course lectures, exercises, case studies and readings
Membership in CSF’s global Alumni Network
In addition to the course fee, participants should also budget for the following expenses:
Travel costs, including flights and health insurance
South African visa and/or passport fees
Extra meals or lodging outside of the course days
Other incidentals

Payments: An initial deposit is due within 30 days of acceptance or before the final registration deadline on June 17 (whichever is closer). The total amount should be paid in full by June 24, 2026.
Refund Policy: If you cannot attend a program, you must notify CSF by email at [email protected] by June 19, 2025. You then have the following options:
1. Send a substitute participant at no extra cost. Please provide a written request to [email protected] indicating the name of the original registrant and the name/contact information for the substitute attendee.
2. Receive credit for any other training program of equal or lesser value. Program credit must be used within two years of the date issued.
3. Receive a refund (minus a $250 USD administrative fee)
NOTE: If you must withdraw from the course after June 19, 2025, your meals and accommodations have already been paid for. Therefore, we can only offer a maximum 50% refund of your total course fee after this date.
No Show Policy: Registrants who do not show up for the training without prior notification will forfeit the full course fee.
Cancellation Policy: Conservation Strategy Fund reserves the right to cancel any training program. If a program is cancelled, we will notify each registrant as soon as possible. Registrants may choose a refund (minus a $250 USD administrative fee) or a credit towards another CSF program of equal or lesser value.
